News Release: DEQ extends air quality advisory for Jackson, Josephine and Klamath counties, portions of Lake Co.

Medford, OR—The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality has extended an air quality advisory for Jackson, Josephine and Klamath counties and portions of Lake County including Lakeview. The areas continue to be impacted by smoke from numerous wildfires and conditions are expected to last through Friday. 

Early this morning, air quality in Ashland and Klamath Falls was very unhealthy (purple on the color-coded Air Quality Index.) Air quality was unhealthy in Shady Cove and Medford (red) and unhealthy for sensitive groups in Lakeview and the unincorporated community of Provolt in Jackson County.
