Fire
Activity: Miller Complex is reported at 17,965 acres (+1,954). 40%
containment.. Weather and fuel conditions today are very
similar to the last two days. The fire will
continue to spread through backing and flanking once the inversion starts to
break up. The potential for convection column development stll exists for
today.
Smoke: Conditions will be
similar to the previous day with some slight improvements. Transport winds
above the temperature/smoke inversions will be from the Southeast to
Southwest 10 to 15 mph. Smoke inversion is moderate to strong developing
around 3000 feet level. In the Evening hours, winds below the inversion will
be downslope 1-3 mph after 2200 hours.
Expect active fire behavior in the Whiskey
Creek drainage today. In Division Zulu the fire has set up to make some
upslope runs today and has the potential to reach the top of Nabob ridge.
