Smoke: Smoke will remain in the vicinity of the fire today, drifting
west in the morning and east in the afternoon, but remaining in the high
country. Air quality will be good in
Grants Pass, Cave Junction and the Illinois Valley, Agness, Gold Beach, and
Brookings.
Fire: Chetco Bar Fire activity continues to be minimal, growing 148
acres yesterday to 1840 acres. Fire
activity today and tomorrow is also expected to be light.
Other: Air quality monitors are located in Medford, Grants Pass, and
Cave Junction. A portable monitor will
be installed today in Brookings and another has been ordered for Agness.
