Yesterday, continual control and mop up fire operations
designed to keep fie in the box on the western perimeter. Another active fire behavior day in the interior,
producing a generous amount of emission; however, good ventilation during the
day and elevated nighttime winds prevented smoke from pooling. The Westfir
and Oakridge, monitors recorded moderate levels of PM over night and early
morning for only a short period. By midafternoon today, air quality improves
to the good range. Air quality will
start to improve after the morning inversion break.
