36 Pit Fire
Sunday PM Update - Air Quality Report for 9/21/14
|
Light and variable winds have
characterized this afternoon, as the projected southwest winds have yet to
develop. Consequently, much of today’s
smoke and associated air quality impacts are affecting only the central, eastern
and southeastern portions of Clackamas County. Continued light winds Sunday night should result
in the highest impacts staying within 10-15 miles of the 36 Pit Fire, as well as down the Clackamas River valley. We see no reason to modify the forecast table below. Monday humidities should
increase, with less smoke produced but remaining closer to the ground. Still expecting wetter conditions for later
in the week.
