Oregon Smoke Information

Southern Oregon, Central Oregon and the state’s entire Cascade Range up to Mt. Hood may experience degrading air quality today and tomorrow due to smoke from new fires in the Cascades. Air quality could become unhealthy for sensitive groups in these areas—the orange category on the Air Quality Index. An air quality advisory remains in effect for Northeastern Oregon, the Central Columbia River Gorge and Lane County. Oregon’s wildfire smoke team will continue to monitor smoke in the state and provide updates. Air quality conditions can change rapidly. The Middle Fork Complex and other fires near Oakridge are affecting Lane County. The Oregon Department of Environmental Quality issued an air quality advisory Monday for Northeastern Oregon and the Central Columbia River Gorge due to smoke from fires in Washington, Idaho and Canada.
